Silk is precious. It doesn’t need to show off to be recognized: you just need to watch it move.
It’s also Como, of course – but not the postcard version, all lake and luxury on display. It’s the deeper Como, made of hands, workshops, roots. The Como that knows when to speak, and when to let the details speak.
But SILK isn’t called this for that reason. SILK is the name of a bond. A thread stretched between two paths, two sensibilities, two visions that met over time.
Massimiliano’s, who knows silk as a craft. And Giorgio’s, who seeks the right gesture in every drink – precise, conscious, essential.
SILK is a bar. But it was born from a friendship that began early, and matured with patience. And from a material that flows. Just like silk.
Giorgio
Giorgio is not only behind the bar. He’s also behind every detail that makes SILK what it is.
He started young, grew fast, gained experience between London and Lake Como – but never forgot where he comes from. From England he brought rhythm, measure, and a vision of hospitality that goes beyond the technical gesture.
He doesn’t just serve drinks, he creates spaces. Spaces to listen, to slow down, to recognize yourself. Even if only for a night.
Massimiliano
Massimiliano knows silk well. Not only as a fabric, but as a method: doing things with precision, intention, and a sense of detail.
He was born and raised on Lake Como, and continues to believe in the beauty and potential of this city. His challenge? To grow together with the territory, bringing innovative ideas, real quality, and passion – in textiles, in tourism, and now also behind the bar.
Silk is part of this path: a concrete choice to give back energy and future to the place he calls home.
At SILK he brings vision and practicality. He keeps together the idea, the pace, the project and the skin. And when he doesn’t know what to order to drink, he asks Giorgio.
